Residential psycho- social rehabilitation

We provide psycho- social rehabilitation for 30 residents with severe and persistent mental illness needing help in most aspects of their lives, as the disability associated with these diseases can be debilitating. Psychosocial rehabilitation interventions aim to help them relearn skills that would reduce disabilities so that they can be reintegrated into the society.

Day care centre

We provide daycare rehabilitation for needy individuals with Mental illness to lead a better life in society. Their stay should be brief and only when unavoidable. However, it is not conducive for recovery, if patients stay 24 hours at home interacting only with family members. For those, unable to find work or socialize, attending a daycare centre is a good option to step out of the house, socialize and receive non-medical therapy. It also provides relief to the stressed family members.

Vocational training

“Restoring hope of the patient, the hope that he can do something for himself and for others is of prime importance. when one gives up, the willingness to ‘do’ is paralyzed as well”. The work atmosphere helps them to develop channels and skills of communication and the feeling that he is capable of doing things others are doing. To make our residents self-sufficient we train different types of vocational activities, which include medicine cover making, doll making, Umbrella making, medicine cover making computer lab, agriculture, paper bag making, paper pen making fish farming etc. From 10am they all are engaged in different trades according to their interest.
